These Terms of Service ("Agreement") govern all diagnostic appointments, in-home repair work, and warranty claims performed by Santa Clara Appliance Repair throughout Santa Clara County, California. By scheduling a service call, approving an estimate, or authorizing work on your residential or commercial appliances, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. In-Home Diagnostic Examination & Scope
When a certified technician travels to your location, they perform thorough technical troubleshooting using electrical multimeters, pressure gauges, and diagnostic inspection tools to identify the failure root cause.
2. Service Authorizations & Parts Ordering
Before any repair procedure is initiated, our technician will specify:
- The exact factory OEM component(s) required (e.g., drain pump, heating element, magnetron, igniter).
- The anticipated labor scope for installation, calibration, and post-repair safety testing.
- Estimated delivery timelines if specialized components must be ordered from manufacturer distribution centers.
No repair work will commence without your prior explicit verbal or written authorization.
3. 90-Day Limited Warranty Coverage
We stand firmly behind our technical craftsmanship:
- Coverage: All newly installed OEM parts and the associated repair labor are guaranteed against defects and premature failure for a period of ninety (90) consecutive days from the date of completed service.
- Remedy: If a warranted part fails within the 90-day window under normal household operating conditions, we will replace the part and provide labor at zero additional charge.
- Exclusions: Our warranty does not cover secondary unrelated component failures, damages caused by foreign objects (such as coins or nails jammed in drain pumps), electrical supply surges, power outages, municipal hard water scale accumulation, flood/fire disasters, or unauthorized third-party tampering.
4. Client Property & Safety Responsibilities
To ensure a safe and efficient repair visit, clients must:
- Ensure an authorized adult (18 years or older) is present on the premises during the entire service window.
- Provide unobstructed, safe physical access to the appliance, including clearing personal items from surrounding cabinets, countertops, or laundry alcoves.
- Secure household pets away from the work zone for the safety of both animals and technicians.
5. Payment Terms & Settlement
Payment is due upon completion of the repair and successful operational cycle testing. We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), corporate checks, and approved electronic payments.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We request at least two (2) hours notice prior to your scheduled arrival window if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. There are no cancellation penalties when advance notice is provided.
